CBS Continuous Improvement Manager
The Crane Business System Manager is responsible for driving Operational Excellence throughout all areas of the organization. He or she will coach, lead, facilitate, and mentor Continuous Improvement activities. Utilize CBS tools to identify opportunities, drive to root cause, and eliminate issues. Responsible for facilitating breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Growth.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.
Direct efforts to reduce variation, overburden, and waste from processes at plant.
Lead and facilitate cross functional teams in kaizen events designed to improved safety, quality, deliver, and cost.
Spearhead site's Improvement Roadmap, Productivity Bowler, Idea Funnel, VSM, and Future Factory Vision.
Work with senior management to develop site's strategic objectives and execute on plan.
Coach, mentor, and guide associates through principles of Lean Manufacturing consistently reinforcing the message.
Provide facility wide training as required to maintain a culture of continuous improvement with emphasis on visual controls and management.
Work as a member of the plant leadership team to assure programs and initiatives are following Lean processes.
Own any and all strategic initiatives within the Strategic Deployment Process (SDP) assigned to you.
Manage Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects and other problem solving efforts across the site for balanced use of internal resources.
Project management activities including business case development, risk identification and mitigation, resource and budget allocation.
Drive associate engagement and facilitate positive change throughout site.
Aid development of Tool Champions through training, mentoring, and support.
Ensure initiatives are data driven, prioritized properly, and carried out in a timely manner.
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related technical field required. MBA recommended.
3 to 5 years of operations management experience in a lean manufacturing environment. Black Belt certification a plus.
Hands on experience using advanced continuous improvement methods (Lean / TPM / Six Sigma / TQM / DMAIC) both as a team member and team leader.
Proven track record of leading lean initiatives with substantial positive business results.
Demonstrated analytical problem solving skills: identifying opportunities for improvement, applying a disciplined approach to determine root cause, then creating and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
History of excellent task management skills. Must possess the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to achieve desired results.
Strong influencer and team player with good mentoring and coaching skills.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
High energy, dynamic personality with the ability to motivate others.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
